Gay Marriage Should Stay ILLEGAL

The meaning of marriage is a union between man and women, and not same sex marriage. That is why the government has come with a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that will not have a person that is straight, discriminate or harass gay, lesbian, or bisexual citizens. The issue of gay marriage has become a problem ever since it has been introduced into the United States.
There are many other situations that we have to deal with as a country. Such as oil prices being so high, Pakistan wanting a revenge on the US for killing Osama Bin Laden, trying to stop the fake “2012” End of the World , high taxes, being in debt, and many other issues. Gay marriage should not be the number one problem is America when there are way more important things we have to deal with.
Republican Senator Warren Limmer's bill that aims to constitutionally define marriage as a heterosexual union is still in debate to see if it should be approved or not. If it gets approved, according to On Top Magazine, we voters would have to tell them our own definition of marriage. Minnesota law already bans gay and lesbian couples from marrying, but supporters say the law remains vulnerable to legal challenges without the amendment.
I have some associates and even an auntie this is a bisexual or gay. I do not judge them because of their sexuality, but at the same time I do not go for their sexual views. It’s not what God loves and it does not say that in the bible. We citizens needs to start having common sense on things like this and needs to know what is right for the country.
I believe that if we have the bill passed or have gay marriage happen in Minnesota, then we will become the next San Francisco. Having earthquakes all around the world and have the worst reputation in the world because of us accepting that kind of situation to exist in the state of Minnesota.
Minnesota has dealt with the issue of marriage between same-sex partners several times over the years. In fact, the Minnesota Supreme Court was one of the first in the nation to rule on the issue of marriage between same-sex couples. If that’s the case then we should not have same-sex marriage to keep continuing in the country of the United States or even in the state of Minnesota.
It’s an issue that we’re facing with to this day, but it should be an easy answer or whether or not we should have same-sex marriage allowed in Minnesota. And the answer should be NO.

Procastination Article

Procrastination
What is procrastination you may ask? It means to replace high-priority actions with tasks of low-priority, and you put off important tasks to a later time. Everyone procrastinates at time, even I do it myself. The reasons for procrastination is because I either don’t have time for it or I would do it at the last minute because of other homework I want to get out the way at that very moment.
I asked other close friends of mine and family members about this problem that a lot of students are dealing with procrastination. My mother is a single mother that takes care of me and my sisters. “If it will take a lot of my time, mind thinking and money.” is what my mother Patricia had told me about her procrastination. Since she has to pay all of the bills, there are some things that are not important to her that she takes care of first.
For example, when we have field trips, dance show costumes, and other things that we need right away from her to give us money for, or have her pay for it, then she would push back her other things she really needs to pay for in order for us to get the things we need. Which causes her stress because she want us to borrow things for a dance show or she would rather have us tell us earlier so she can have the money ready and set until the day comes.
That is why I use to get in trouble when I would tell my mother late about some things I need because it would backfire to me in a bad way. Including my sisters as well and we have to make sure that we appreciate for what she does for us or else she won’t do it again or she’ll feel we’re taking advantage of her.
My Step Coach Julian had told me why he procrastinates. “Sometimes I fear that I might not complete the task exceptionally.” which is what I do at times when I have important assignments in my AP classes or in classes that teachers expect me to do good no matter what. I believe that students that have parents that wants the best for their kids or even students have done so well all their lives, have fear of doing bad on tests, homework, and other assignments because they are used to doing well and not doing bad.
“Whenever I procrastinate it is because of the task itself. I would like to be doing other things then the task.” says my cousin Candy. The task at times can be really hard, so what I do is put that last and I work something else that is not as hard as the assignment I put away. If it’s a hard assignment like the first one, then I would put them away and just listen to music to help calm down my head and not get overstressed about it.
My friend Dreya was asked why she procrastinates and she stated “Um, letting myself get side tracked with other things that are less important.” which is a problem that I have been dealing with for some time. When I listen to music while I do my work or watch television and talk to my family members, then I get distracted and that doesn’t make me get my work done and then I get in trouble at school because my assignments would not be done.
“Worrying about the class or the thing that I don't want to do.” responded Anessa which is another friend of mine that goes to Eastview. People that take AP or Honors classes will have more worries than people that take regular classes because the higher classes are more expectations than regular. They expect you to do what you need to do in order to pass the class. In my AP classes, I try hard as much as I can to have good grades in the class so I can make my mom and teachers proud of me.
Why do people get side-tracked with doing unimportant assignments, is a question I asked myself. “Um probably just the fact I don't want to do it so I look for something else more fun.” Responded Katie Tharp, and my other friend Maressa had stated that “probably other assignments,” is what makes her side tracked to not do her homework that needs to be done right away.
Maybe people procrastinate because it makes them in fear that they won’t achieve what they need to do. “I think people do that because they're afraid to fall.” responded Hannah who attends Eastview High. At times, I would feel that I will not be good enough to do the assignment the way my teacher would want me to do. Or I would think that I am going to fail even if I try my hardest to do the best that I can.
“I think it depends with a person, for example, the amount of time one has, or the mood in which one is.” Says my friend Jaksonn which is my ex-boyfriend’s cousin. People can have a habit to procrastinate because of how they feel or how they are as a person which is a bad habit to have.
We have to realize that procrastination can come in many different ways from people and it can make you not a confident person and that is something we cannot have in ourselves. Do the homework and do whatever other important things you can have to do as your first priority. Or else we would not achieve and be successful like we want to.

Madea’s Big Happy Family

Tyler Perry, Bow Wow, Teyana Taylor, Lauren London, and Loretta Devine, all stars in the eleventh film in Tyler Perry’s film franchise Madea’s Big Happy Family which is about bringing a family back together with each family member dealing with their own problems by themselves.
“I would give it 9.5 stars out of 10,” says Deja, a Freshman attending Eastview High School. “I liked it a lot, and I think the reality in the movie and the truth behind the story made it fantastic.”  Madea's Big Happy Family was released on April 22, 2011. It opened with $25.8 million on its opening weekend, ranking #2 at the box office behind Rio 3D: The Movie.
Tyler Perry has been famous for his franchise such as Diary of a Mad Black Women, Madea’s Family Reunion, and the latest movie which is For Colored Girls featuring Janet Jackson and Loretta Devine and much more. As a black screenwriter, he has done a perfect job by making sure that his movies is funny and makes you want to laugh.
“I believe Tyler Perry’s movies are far more than just for African Americans. They are for everyone who loves humor.” says Brianna, a Junior at Eastview High School. “I like the movie; it was actually a really great movie. It has so many life lessons with all types of characters mashed into one family for the movie.”
The plot revolves around Shirley who has received word from Dr. Evans in the beginning of the film that her cancer has worsened. Shirley decides that she needs to bring the family together so she can tell them the bad news. But because of civil unrest within the family, they continue to cause problems before she can tell them about the news. Shirley and Aunt Bam seek Madea for further assistants, after her first planned-dinner ended with family rivalry. Along the way, Madea tries, with "tough love", to open the eyes of Shirley's children and grandchildren about the meaning of family and spending quality time with their loved ones. Doing so, family-secrets arise and tensions begin to flare out of control. When Shirley passes away, her children and grandchildren began to feel remorseful towards one-another and strengthening their love for each other.
But at the same time, while he makes sure that his movies are more humor the more he makes movies, he also makes us learn a life lesson in order to help ourselves become a better person. “To appreciate everything and everyone God put in your life because it could be taken away in a heartbeat.” stated Deja. “His movies show so many good lessons in life. Like, even though there are ups and downs in life, keep your head and keep pushing on and forward no matter what.” responded Brianna.
“I liked it a lot, and I think the reality in the movie and the truth behind the story made it fantastic.” said Deja, “Because Tyler Perry gives everyone life lessons through comedy in his movies.” Looks like Tyler Perry should keep up the good work with the surprising movies that he has been doing over the years and to not stop making movies no time soon. His work has been creating a wonderful impact and reputation towards whites, blacks, and other race in a positive way in his movies is a very a big A+ to me as a movie viewer.
Even though Tyler Perry has come out with his recently movie Madea’s Big Happy Family, some people have their favorite movies throughout his franchise of Madea. “My favorite movie is Diary of a Mad Black Women.” stated Deja. “Madea’s Big Happy Family is my favorite movie overall.” responded Brianna.
